Taking card payments with Stripe
Connect Stripe from the console to accept card payments, and get paid out to your bank.
In the consoleAccount → Payments
Comrc takes card payments through Stripe. You connect a Stripe account to your store once, from the console, and card payments are switched on at checkout.
Connect Stripe
- In the console, open Card payments and choose Set up card payments.
- You're taken to Stripe to create or connect your account. Stripe will ask for details about you and your business, and the bank account you want to be paid into.
- When you're sent back to the console, it shows whether you're ready to take payments or whether Stripe still needs more information.
If Stripe asks for more information later, the console tells you, and you can go back to Stripe to finish it.
How card details are handled
Customers enter their card details on a checkout hosted by Stripe. The card number goes straight to Stripe — it never passes through or is stored by Comrc or your store. An order is only marked as paid once Stripe has confirmed the payment.
Payouts
Stripe pays the money from your card sales into your bank account automatically. You can see your payouts in the console, and in full detail in your Stripe account.
Cash on delivery
You can also let customers pay in cash when their order is delivered or collected. Turn it off if you only want to take card payments.
